AN Ulverston man has been jailed for breaching a suspended sentence order for a second time after he committed a series of driving offences.
Paul Rapka, of Kent Square, was sentenced to 42 days in prison when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates Court for taking a motor vehicle, a Ford Fiesta, without the consent of the owner on June 29.
He was also penalised for failing to stop the vehicle by a constable/traffic warden on Quebec Street in Ulverston, driving without a licence and driving without any third-party insurance.
It comes after he breached an operational suspended sentence order and community order for a second time.
The 30-year-old was also disqualified from driving for a period of 408 days.
There were no orders for costs due to the custodial sentence imposed and an already large account already existing to the court.
