Amazing black and white photographs of Jubilee Bridge and its construction can be found in the Sankey Online Photographic Archive.
The site gives people access to over 10,000 images taken across Barrow, Furness and the Lake District.
Among them are pictures of Walney bridge showing pivitol moments in its 115-year life
The pictures show the construction of the bridge with workers pausing to take notice of the camera.
The horses and carts loaded with timber beams show how structures were built in the early 1900s without the aid of technology.
More amazing photos also show the late Queen Elizabeth II in April 1935, who was then the Duchess of York, with the Queen Mother about to unveil a plaque dedicated to re-naming of the bridge to Jubilee.
