A MUSIC festival has decided 'it's time for another one' just weeks after original event!

On the official last day of summer, Barrow will be bouncing with music as the organisers of Fudstock bring a second festival to life.

On Saturday September 23 the 'amazing event' will return to the grounds of Furness Cavaliers AFC, with lights, music and crowds of people enjoying themselves.

Five years ago, the first ever Fudstock was held in memory of Richard Thorne, who was also known as Fud, giving the event its name.

The organisers said: “It’s been a tremendous event for the area, bringing people together from far and wide to enjoy a day of live music in a local setting and raising over £70,000 for the hospice in Fud’s memory.”

After Fudstock 2023 was held on 'the actual worst day of the year' with festival-goers being rained on, blown about and battered by bad weather, organisers said: “The absolute bonkers idea came about of running another event... in a few weeks’ time.”

The second festival will show off return acts as well as some new faces, there will be young/ up-and-coming talents on the stage and in the dance tent as well as Laser show performances and a live drum session.

A 'fine selection' of food and drink will keep everyone fed and watered in between sets of old skool house music, heavy rock and indie music.

Fudstock Two will feature acoustic sets as well as 'the best opera quartet you will see in a long time.'

Ticket prices have been reduced to £20 per adult, £10 per teen and free entry for children, the gates will open at 12pm.

The organisers said a 'massive thanks' to everyone involved, to Barrow Underground Music Society and all the acts, musicians and companies who put their time and talents into helping raise money for St Mary's Hospice.
