Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC) has announced the shortlist for the BECBC Business Awards 2023.

The event, taking place on November 16 at Energus in Lillyhall, Cumbria, will be hosted by John Berry, Relationship Development Manager at Sellafield Ltd.

John Grainger, Head Judge, said: "This year's BECBC Awards have seen some fabulous entries, strong in terms of business and creative in terms of innovation. I am delighted to announce that those shortlisted within our membership represent wonderful examples of business excellence."

In the Business of the Year category, sponsored by Sellafield, React Engineering, Delkia, and Forth Engineering have been shortlisted.

For the Charity of the Year award, Hospice at Home West Cumbria, Time to Change, and All Together Cumbria have been recognised.

The Collaboration category, sponsored by Cavendish Nuclear, features ITI Operations Limited, NNL and Atkins, 3D 360, and Resolve Engineered Solutions as contenders.

Bendalls Engineering, React Engineering, and The Pile Fuel Cladding Silo Programme have been shortlisted for the Empowering Next Generation category, sponsored by Tetra Tech.

Natterjack Marketing, RBES, and Realise HR are shortlisted for the Micro Business category, sponsored by Jacobs.

Bechtel Cavendish Nuclear Solutions, LIKE Technologies, and Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick have been shortlisted for the Sustainability, Environmental category, sponsored by Morgan Sindall Infrastructure.

The BECBC Ambassador category is sponsored by PacTec, 3D360, Kinsella, SEB Management Services. Stephen Shepherd, Sharon Brook, and Lee Nicklin are shortlisted.

The Sustainability: Social Value category, sponsored by Bechtel, includes DDP Partners, React, Programme and Project Partners (PPP), Securitas, and Forth Engineering.

For the Innovation and Creativity award, sponsored by NNL, Cavendish Nuclear, Tetra Tech, Bechtel, and Dada Enterprises have been shortlisted.

PAR Systems, William King Construction, and SP Training are finalists in the Growing Business category, sponsored by Altrad Babcock.

The Business Person of the Year award, sponsored by Steel Dynamics UK, sees Tom Hyland, Lucy Harrison, Anand Puthran, and Eirini Etoimou, shortlisted for the award.

The Rising Star category, sponsored by KBR, includes Issy Shannon from Bechtel, Aimee MacFadyen from Tetra Tech, Georgie Routledge from Indelible Data, and Josh Oakes from Forth Engineering.

The Inspiring People award, sponsored by NIS Integrated Engineering, features the Centre for Leadership Performance and R.A.F Engineering.
