A MAN who ran a book stall for 25 years has announced his retirement, with a new owner now taking over the reins.
Ian ran the book stall on Barrow Market Hall for a quarter of a century but has now decided the time is right to pass over the shop to new owner, Sylvia.
Barrow Market Hall posted on Friends Who Support Barrow Markets' Facebook page: “We’re going to miss you Ian, we wish you a long and happy retirement. Thank you for your long service at Barrow Market Hall.
“Welcome Sylvia to our market family. We wish you continued success and congratulations on your new business venture!”
Members of the public also took to social media to wish the bookseller a happy retirement and to wish Sylvia the very best of luck.
