THIS week, the weather will start to warm up again.
It might be the last chance to visit the beach before the summer ends, so these are the top five places to go in Cumbria - according to Tripadvisor.
1. Haverigg Beach
This beach near Millom was praised for its space for dog walking and having a huge play area for children. One of the comments said that 'you and your pooch can walk for miles.'
For eating, there is a Beach Cafe and Haverigg Fish and Chips nearby. RSPB Hodbarrow Nature Reserve is also in the area for bird lovers.
2. Earnse Bay
The Walney Island beach is great for people who love paddleboarding and kite surfing as it has the Surf Shack. It is one of only a few beaches to have a vista on a clear day that includes the Lake District fells.
3. Seascale Beach
Many reviews describe this beach as 'lovely' and 'unspoiled.' Free parking is available when visiting this beach. Even in the summer, this hidden gem is quiet, but it still has an ice cream parlour and a chippy nearby.
4. Silecroft Beach
There is an age-old debate about beaches in the UK, do you prefer pebbles or sand? Silecroft Beach has both! At high tide, the sea extends to the rocks but at low tide, the water reveals a large expanse of sand. The view out to the west can provide marvellous sunsets for those visiting in the late evening.
5. Bardsea Beach
This beach has some great eating options, with a charming cafe and a regular ice cream van. It is near other eateries for a larger meal, such as The Ship Inn in Bardsea village, and it is a five-minute drive from Ulverston. The beach provides some great views across Morecambe Bay.
