TWO brave friends are taking part in an adventurous challenge to raise money for St Mary's Hospice.
The friends from Dalton, Samantha Campbell and Kieran McDaid, landlord of Clearance Pub, are set to skydive in aid of Ulverston's hospice.
The challenge will take place at Flookburgh airfield on October 28 at 2pm and their target is to raise £1,000.
Samantha said: "St Mary's is very close to our heart as they have helped family members and friends over the years. So they are a worthy cause for everything they do.
"We came up with this idea because we were talking about Kieran learning to fly and then I said I wouldn't mind skydiving. Then it just went from there really.
"This is the first time I'm flying and I'm very excited about it, but it is going to be weather dependent."

The fundraiser has been set up by Kieran's wife Louise McDaid through the Go Fund Me page and eight donations have been made - making a total of £145 already raised.
Samantha added: "I'm happy that we have raised this amount in the short amount of time it has been up - it has been up for only seven days.
"Any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, which means so much to us."
