Dodona House Mediterranean Grill, located at The Old Bank 107-109 in Duke Street, has revealed plans to launch a new sandwich shop at 184 Dalton Road in Barrow.
Proposals were submitted to the council for change of use of the ground floor from retail (class E) to hot food takeaway (sui-generis).
The restaurant, which offers traditional Greek, Mediterranean, and Balkan cuisine, has been a massive hit with customers from Barrow and the surrounding area.
Owner of Dodona House Horizont Pllanna said: "We will be selling mainly Greek and Italian foods.
"We already import all our high-quality, delicious foods and ingredients from Greece and Italy.
"Customers will be able to choose from grab-and-go sandwiches and drinks to hot sandwiches."

"The plan will be to open from 8am until 5pm.
"We will be giving an extra option to people from Barrow, which will be exciting for us.
"It is important to us to bring a derelict building back to life again and support trade in the town centre.
"We are looking forward to serving customers quality food to our customers."
According to the plans, the existing residential use as a flat on the first and second floor will remain.
The proposals will not involve any external alterations to those which currently exist.
