A MEN’S mental health charity and leisure group are hosting a free charity event.
Mentell – the Men’s mental health charity and High Spirits Leisure Group are hosting the event on August 4 at the Tap Yard in Ambleside called ‘A Night of Music and Compassion’ at 19:30 PM.
The key features of the night will include live performances from Meredith Moon and Woodbine Bloom, as well as a raffle with prizes.
The charity’s mission is to provide a safe environment for all men over 18 to gather and support each other.
Nowadays 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health issue of some kind each year in the UK. Suicide is the biggest cause of death for men under 35, as they are less likely to access psychological therapies and ask for help.
Mentell express the importance of community partners, local businesses and care providers having a significant role in supporting the organisation, helping deliver its message and vision.
A spokesperson for Mentell, said: “We encourage guests to make donations towards the cause. No matter the size, it will make a significant impact.
“By attending the event and participating in the raffle and donations, you will directly contribute to our efforts in fighting mental health issues in men. Together, we can create a lasting positive change in our community and beyond.”
