A company which finds skilled staff for the nuclear sector in Cumbria has been announced as the main sponsor for the in-Cumbria Business Awards 2023.
NRL, in Egremont, works in the community to find candidates to fill roles within the nuclear industry, including at Sellafield.
The in-Cumbria Business Awards, open to businesses across the whole of the county, will take place on November 23 at The Halston, Carlisle.
Awards will be presented across 11 categories, in addition to the prestigious Lifetime Contribution to Cumbria Award.
Other categories include the much coveted Businessperson of the Year award.
NRL director Rebecca Graves says: “We’re pleased to sponsor the in-Cumbria Business Awards for 2023, which celebrate the region's most prestigious businesses.
“The awards provide a platform to showcase and celebrate the remarkable skills and innovation evident in businesses across Cumbria.
“We are excited to see these business contributions highlighted and to celebrate the impressive talent and expertise in our region.
“At NRL, we understand the vital role that local businesses play in driving economic growth and fostering a vibrant community – so it’s fantastic to see this hard work recognised.”
Entries for the awards have now closed.
Entrants from each category will be considered by the panel of 12 judges who will then decide on the finalists and the ultimate winners announced on the night. This year’s host at the the prestigious event is hypnotist and mind reader Aaron Calvert.
Sue Riley, associate editor for in-Cumbria, says: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have NRL on board as the main sponsor for the in-Cumbria Business Awards this year.
