POET-in-residence Kerry Darbishire will host free workshops at William Wordsworth's home Rydal Mount.
Two poetry workshops and discussion days will be held during the first three weeks of August at the house, near Ambleside. The award-winning writer is this year's summer poet-in-residence at Rydal Mount.
Much of her poetry is rooted in the Lake District. Her two full collections were published by Indigo Dreams: A Lift of Wings (2014), and Distance Sweet on my Tongue (2018).
Prospective dates are:
- 1st workshop day: August: Tuesday 8 or Wednesday 9 or Thursday 10.
- 2nd workshop day: August: Tuesday 15 or Wednesday 16 or Thursday 17.
Both are free, to be held between 2pm and 5pm. Those interested in the sessions should contact Kerry at kerrydarbishire@gmail.com to let her know what their preferred day is.
