FORD Park will receive a donation after staff in the Ulverston branch of NFU Mutual nominated the associated charity for money from its 'Agency Giving Fund.'
£6,443 will go to Ford Park Community Group from NFU Mutual's £1.92 million fund, which itself is part of a £3.25 million funding pledge from the insurer for local and national charities in 2023.
All 295 NFU Mutual office branches have been given the opportunity to nominate local charities to receive a share of the fund.
The group looks after and maintains the park.
Sam Ronson, park director, said: "The Ford Park group are so grateful to the South West Lakes NFU Mutual Agency for nominating our charity for this donation. It will enable us to continue offering a well-maintained and much-loved community asset as well as the very important volunteer programme which offers socialisation to people from all backgrounds in a beautiful setting.”
