A Windermere based retailer has donated £100,000 to local charities so far in 2023.
Lakeland specialises in bakeware, cookware, cleaning and laundry products in Cumbria and wanted to give something back to charities in the area.
Whenever My Lakeland club members shop at the store, a few pennies are added to the company's charity pot.
The kitchenware specialists recently donated £86,000 split between ten of their partnership charities including CancerCare, The Well Communities, South Lakes Citizen Advice, Waste into Wellbeing (Kendal People’s Café), Springfield, Lighthouse, Growing Well, Cumbria Wildlife Trust, Age UK South Lakeland and Jigsaw Children’s Hospice.
In addition, the retailer also supported 32 other charities within the local community, which took their overall donation to £100,000.
