Level Up Gaming's first ever event is set to take place in Barrow in August. The summer event promises to bring gamers the best in both modern and retro gaming.
Held at Furness College on Friday, August 11, organisers will be taking people through the history of video gaming by letting them use retro consoles like the N64 and Mega Drive through modern gaming PCs and virtual reality headsets.
There will also be a Mario Kart Tournament and cosplay competitions with prizes for the winners. Creators are invited to offer their gaming products and services.
A spokesperson for Level Up Gaming said: "If you or anyone you know are interested in a stall then just get in touch, there’s plenty of space. All of this will be completely free for everyone, we want everyone to be able to attend and enjoy video gaming the same way we do.
"As we are a non-profit organisation we are relying on the support of our community and local businesses to help fund our events, if you own a business locally and can help businesses like ours please contact us through our social media, we really do appreciate any help we can get."
