BARROW Raiders Ladies received their heritage numbers as part of a new scheme launched by the club.

Since the team reformed as Barrow Raiders Ladies in 2021 they have grown in stature and ability and now reside in the Betfred Women’s Super League Group 2.

At the helm is head coach Amanda Wilkinson, who took on the role in November 2021 ahead of the club’s first season in the Women’s Super League.

The heritage numbers have been produced to make sure each of the ladies has a firm place in the club’s history

Each player to have represented the Raiders Ladies since its reformation in 2021 has received a heritage number, with this trend set to continue as the team continues to evolve.

Head coach Amanda Wilkinson, speaking to the club's website, said: "It was a fantastic occasion as we presented the Barrow Raiders Ladies players with their heritage numbers.

"We invited sponsors, family, and friends to join us pre-match to present the current squad with their numbers in the marquee, whilst enjoying a drink and nibbles.

"They then joined the players in the changing rooms to see behind the scenes before heading out pitch-side to watch the ladies warm up.

"It was such a great day.

"The ladies put in a great performance and it was nice to present players from 2021/22 awarded their heritage numbers post-game.

"It’s always exciting to represent such a club, but to be recognised and presented with a heritage number is such a great moment for all the players."
