Messages of support pour in for transgender woman who is working to help others.
After a transgender woman shared her inspirational story of overcoming abuse and violence to achieve her ambitions, readers have left heartfelt words of encouragement.
Last year Sally Wall relocated to Barrow to join the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCft) as a counsellor.
Leisa Walker-Denmark told Sally to keep being herself, saying: “Pride month is about the visibility of our community, you are an amazing person with such a kind heart.”
Jennifer Elizabeth said: “Sally is a phenomenal lady doing great work. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting with her and hearing her story and she’s an inspiration.”
Carla Sumner said they think Sally is an inspiration to others and wished her “good luck”.
Don Ron Jovi said: “Very inspiring, keep up the good work!”
Lesley Newton said: “You are doing good work helping others. You’ve always been a very kind person and that’s what matters. Obviously, there will be people that do not agree or understand but there is no reason for them to be unkind.”
Isabella Hayes said: “You’re doing good work for people,” and Marisol Galindo-Wright said: “Congrats! Awesome job.”
Marnie Whittaker encouraged Sally to keep doing what she is doing, despite any resistance she might face, adding: “Even the smallest amount of positivity spread by you will work wonders greater than you will ever know.”
Jodie Watson said: “You're awesome, and that dress is beautiful on you!”
Sofia Balderstone said they know Sally, she is a “lovely lady” and “amazing”.
Terry Exley said Sally is a “lovely person” and advises her to “ignore the haters”.
