BARROW AFC have confirmed the signing of left-back Junior Tiensia.
Tiensia becomes the Bluebirds' second signing in as many days as Pete Wild's side make a swift start to the summer transfer window.
This comes less than 24 hours after the Bluebirds announced the arrival of David Worrall on a free transfer from Port Vale.
22-year-old Tiensia joins Barrow from National League side Solihull Moors on an initial one-year deal.
After signing his contract with the club, Tiensia spoke to the club's website about the move.
He said: "I'm really happy to be at Barrow and to get the deal done, I've spoken to the Gaffer a few times and things haven't lined up, so it was a no-brainer to join Barrow.
"Like I said, I've known of his interest before and I've played against his Halifax teams and I've been really impressed with the style of football he plays.
"I've seen the way the team plays, I've heard about the club's plans and they've told me that I fit into their plans and I certainly think I fit into theirs.
"I'm a hard-working player, I dedicate myself to a task and I try my best to achieve it.
"I know this club has a lot they want to achieve and it's just the right fit for me."
Wild, also speaking to the club's website, spoke about his delight at the capture of Tiensia and revealed that the young left-back had trained with Barrow before his move to Solihull Moors in March.
He said: "I'm really excited by the signing of Junior, he is someone I've kept tabs on for a while and to finally get him in the building is brilliant.
"He came in and joined us for a week earlier in the year and impressed, but we couldn't get a deal done at the time. We kept in touch and made it clear that we wanted him and that hard work has paid off now as he signs with us.
"He is an exciting, attacking-minded player and is a great lad who really fits into what we are wanting to do both on and off the pitch."
