A TOWN council revealed in its annual report which community projects have received the highest grant awards.
The annual report published by Ulverston Town Counci covered the council's operations between 2022-2023.
Topping the list of community and festival grants were Ulverston In Bloom, the Town Band and Ford Park, each receiving £3,000. Ulverston Wolverines received £1,500.
Citizens Advice, Resilience Group, The Coro, St Mary's Hospice, Rangers FC, and Sir John Barrow School were given £1,000 in community grants.
For festivals, Ulverston Music Festival got £2,500, Another Fine Fest received £2,000, Furness Tradition had £1,500, and Retro Rendezvous and Lantern Festival received £1,000 each from the council.
The council also acts on behalf of Broughton-based educational publisher CGP, which gives the council £18,000 per annum to spend on community grants. From this fund, Ford Park Community Group was awarded £1,500. Ulverston Amateur Rugby League FC received £1,128.20.
Receiving £1,000 each were Croftlands Park Football Club, People Planet Pocket, Friends of Artspace, Ulverston Victoria High School, Croftlands Infants baby room, Another Fine Fest, Furness Tradition, South West Lakes District Scouts, Lantern Festival and Retro Rendezvous.
The town council itself received £50,000 from the old South Lakeland District Council to purchase the Roxy cinema, subject to match funding.
