AN architectural technologist has joined the team at an Ulverston-based architecture and engineering practice.
Myles Wright has taken a position at Building Design Northern (BDN) as part of the business' North West expansion plans.
Originally from Ulverston, Myles, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Technology from Birmingham City University, will assist the team with residential and commercial developments as the firm, which also has an office in Sunderland, expands its portfolio of projects in the Lake District.
He said: "I’m excited to have been given the opportunity to work at BDN.
"The team here are incredibly knowledgeable and are so helpful when I have any queries.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my first few weeks, getting heavily involved in the whole architectural process in both residential and commercial projects.
"I am looking forward to my future with BDN.”
Director of architecture and head of BDN’s Ulverston office Joe Warner added: “It is a delight to welcome Myles to BDN.
"We have enjoyed a period of growth in our Ulverston base, which has created an opportunity to expand and invest in local, talented graduates, like Myles.
“Myles is an excellent addition to our team and it is great to see his skills develop and get used to practice life."
BDN, who hopes to open a larger North West office later this year to support an unannounced 'local development', offer architecture, structural and civil engineering services to clients across the UK.
