AN OPERA group is set to perform a dramatised performance of a classic composer and musician.
The Cumbria Opera Group will be returning to the Victoria Hall for a performance of Johann Sebastian Bach's St John Passion complete with a 50-piece chorus and orchestra.
A spokersperson for the event said: "Brought to life in a new, provocative staging, this performance of Bach's Passiontide masterpiece promises to be a thought-provoking experience."
The orchestra will be conducted by Joe Davis, the chorus director will be Ian Jones and it will be directed by Lucy Britton.
The event will take place at the Victoria Hall, in Grange, on Sunday April 16 2023 in two sessions - one at 2.30pm and the other at 7pm.
General admission costs £20, concession tickets cost £18 and it is £5 for those aged 21 or under or in full-time education.
