A BUSY Easter weekend continued on Saturday night for Coniston Mountain Rescue Team as they received their second emergency callout of the day.
As darkness fell, the team received a call from Cumbria Police at 8.47pm, asking them to help a female who had fallen at Goat's Crag, just south of Goat's Water, and could not walk further because of an ankle injury.
The team despatched three Land Rovers as far up the Walna Crag as they could drive, and then travelled the rest of the way on foot to find the injured lady.

She was assessed, her ankle splinted and then she was stretchered back to their vehicles.
The lady then returned to her accommodation with her party, intending to go to hospital in the morning if she felt it necessary.
13 volunteers from the team were in action for three and a half hours.
