Cumbria Freemasons have chosen to donate £1200 to a small, but important charity.
This week, Freemasons from Cumbria made a wonderful donation to Suicide Bereavement Support Cumbria.
Suicide Bereavement Support (SBS), Penrith, was established in 2019, and was built by people from all walks of life who have all been touched by suicide themselves, an experience which enables them to connect with others.
Bela lodge (Milnthorpe) donated £1200 to help Suicide Bereavement Support run their volunteer-based service and achieve their aim to provide a platform for people to find support in whatever form works for them.
Neil Dixon, from Cumbria Freemasons said: "This is an amazing charity to support and it will really make a big difference. The charity is ran by volunteers who have all been affected by suicide, so we are very proud to be able to help and support this important work.”
