EMPLOYEES of a healthcare company have been left unable to put 'food on their kids' table' after they were not paid.
Workers at Me and My Health Hub Barrow, under Circular1 Health, have still not received their pay which was due to go into accounts on January 28.
Circular1 Health was set up in January 2021 to offer Covid-19 testing kits.
It has shifted away from that and now provides a site where individuals can receive a health check, which was only opened in Barrow at the start of December 2022.
Two employees contacted The Mail. Both wished to remain anonymous. One said: "We are in a cost of living crisis and I can’t afford to put food on my kids' table due to this poorly run company.

"They were meant to go on a school trip this week but I can’t afford it due to this, it broke my heart. I have worked there for just over a year now and the way staff are treated is awful, treated like a number and being the least important thing."
The other said: "They were meant to pay all staff members on the 28 and are still yet to. The company keeps making excuses but sadly employees are struggling in an already difficult time."
It has two 'Me and My Health Hubs,' one in Barrow at Waterfront Business Park and another in Didsbury, Manchester.
A spokesman for Circular1 Health said: “Circular1 Health provided covid screening to organisations during the pandemic, and has always been aware that the requirement for this service would decline as the pressures of the pandemic eased.
"The business has been working hard over the last 18 months developing a Proactive Health service for businesses to enable us to pivot away from Covid screening and this has brought with it many challenges.
"One of those challenges is funding. With the decline in revenues post covid, the business needs funding to allow us to develop whilst Proactive Health revenues come online and grow.
"We are working to complete funding with a group of investors to secure funds to allow ongoing development. Unfortunately, the mechanics and timing of the investment funds coming in have taken longer than expected, and this has impacted our cash flow.
"The business is working tirelessly to resolve the situation and is keeping employees informed on a daily basis. We are optimistic that this can be resolved in the coming days.”
