BARROW Police are putting on a cadet opening evening at their station on Tuesday, March 21.
A spokesman said: "You will be able to meet & speak to current cadets & cadet leaders and ask any question you may have."
The Police asked those interested in attending to register their interest in a form.
This is before cadet recruitment starts on Monday, April 3.
There will also be an open evening for Kendal Cadets at Kendal Police Station on Monday, March 20.
The evenings are open to any child aged 13-17 years who are interested in joining the cadets, they must attend the evening with a parent or guardian.
According to the office of the Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall, the volunteer cadet scheme gives young people an opportunity to be part of the nationally recognised police uniformed youth group.
The programme 'develops leadership, communication skills and provides a large variety of opportunities for the volunteer cadets to support their local community'.
