A TEAM from Cumbria police has joined in the efforts to find a missing woman.

Nicola Bulley went missing last Friday morning when she was on a riverside dog walk in St Michael's on Wyre, Lancashire.

A spokesman for the Cumbria Police dog section said: "Our specialist search dogs and handlers have been assisting in and around the area of St Michaels on Wyre with the search for Nicola Bulley.

"If you have any information relating to Nicola's whereabouts please contact Lancs Police on 101 or 999."

The 45-year-old dropped her children off at school, and a dog walker who knew her spotted her walking along the lower field.

She sent an email to her boss, logged into a Teams call, and then was spotted by a witness on the upper field around 9.10 am.

At 9.30 am the Teams call ended with her still logged on, and then shortly afterwards her phone and dog Willow were found at a bench by the river Wyre.

A major search operation has taken place with divers, drones and helicopters, as well as sniffer dogs, but Ms Bulley has still not been found.

Lancashire Police said in a statement: "An investigation was launched into the circumstances of her disappearance while a large and extremely thorough search has been carried out in the area.

"These are both continuing and at this point, there is nothing to suggest any third-party involvement in Nicola’s disappearance.

"We continue to have specialist resources from both the police and other emergency services in the area searching a significant area of land around the river off Garstang Road.

"We also have divers in the area and are using underwater drones to search the full length of the River Wyre downstream. Our police dogs have also been out searching."
