THOSE that go the extra mile are being sought out as this paper and The Inn Collection Group invite people to 'Nominate an Angel' and mark the reopening of The Angel Inn at Bowness.
The Helm Road property has emerged from a multi-million-pound renovation which has seen the bedrooms within the main grade two listed building and the adjacent gatehouse given a refreshed look and feel, along with a revamp to the look and feel of the ground floor spaces.
There has also been work to the grounds adding to the grassed terrace areas to the front of the main building, with the property now enjoying a cosy country inn atmosphere for all to enjoy.
To celebrate the re-opening, The Inn Collection Group is looking to reward community champions, fundraisers, volunteers and all others who make a difference as they celebrate the completion of a multi-million-pound refurbishment at the Helm Road Inn.
In recognition of the efforts of the Angels, all nominees will be able to claim a free thank you drink at The Angel Inn during 2023, whilst all those put forward will be in with the chance of winning a fantastic overnight dinner, bed and breakfast stay at The Angel Inn.
Kicking off the campaign, The Inn Collection Group has selected Daryl Hardy as their nomination in recognition of his efforts in the community around Ambleside in the run up to Christmas.

General manager of The Regent Hotel, Daryl led his team in delivering a Christmas Lunch event for members of the local community as ICG worked to attempt to tackle loneliness at Christmas.
Tapping into his network of contacts around the villages and the Rotary Club of Ambleside, Daryl invited 45 people to the hotel for a complimentary three-course lunch in the run-up to Christmas in a campaign to tackle loneliness.
Speaking about the search for local angels, general manager at The Angel Inn Michelle Manders said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming guests back to The Angel Inn after it has completed its refurbishment
“When deciding how we wanted to mark the Inn being given its new look, we decided the best way was to welcome the kind souls within the community to join us for a drink in recognition of them making a difference in people’s lives.
“We are really looking forward to seeing the stories put forward by readers and for these angels to join us and share more about their stories with the team at the inn.”
