PETE WILD has given an update on Barrow's transfer prospects ahead of deadline day in the January window.

In terms of incomings Barrow have already secured three deals with Elliott Newby returning for his second spell, defender Rory Feely joining from League of Ireland side Bohemians and young forward Jake Young joining on-loan from Bradford City.

The Bluebirds have also, thus far, been able to fend off interest in their star performers this season such as Ben Whitfield.

Ahead of January transfer deadline day on Tuesday, Wild suggested that any more incomings at the SO Legal Stadium could hinge on outgoings.

He said: "It is going to be a busy few days we know that but we are hopeful that if we can move a couple out we might get one in but a couple would have to go out first before one could come in.

"That is where we are at the moment and we will see what happens over the next few days."
