BARROW AFC take on Neil Wood's inform Salford City on Saturday in a play-off six-pointer.

The two sides are separated by just one point with the Bluebirds in eighth and the Ammies in fifth.

It has been just over three weeks since the two sides last met when they played out a 1-1 draw at the Peninsula Stadium. Salford ended the game with ten men after Callum Hendry was given his marching orders in the 37th minute.

Ahead of the clash we used WhoScored.com to see what Barrow can do to turn one point into three against Neil Wood's side.

Statistically this clash in Manchester should have resulted in a Bluebirds victory with the numbers at face value reflecting on a dominant Barrow performance.

In the 90 minutes Barrow had 19 shots to Salford's eight, saw 59.8 per cent of the ball, had a higher pass success rate at 75 per cent and had seven corners to the Ammies' two.

In addition, goal scorer Jordan Stevens and left-back Patrick Brough were pulling the strings both playing three key passes each.

However, in reality this game was a wasteful one from Pete Wild's Bluebirds.

From their 19 shots only four were on target, while three were blocked. The other 12 were off target.

Furthermore Barrow were dispossessed nine times, three more times than the Ammies, with the usually reliable Ben Whitfield, Josh Gordon and Sam Foley surrendering the ball the most.Analysing the stats from the two side's first encounter this season, it is apparent that Barrow will have to be far more clinical at the SO Legal Stadium than they were at the Peninsula Stadium if they hope to win this huge play-off clash.
