Cumbria Tourism is putting health and wellbeing in the spotlight, as part of its ongoing winter marketing campaign to support tourism operators during quieter months.  

At the moment, tourism and hospitality businesses are facing the challenge of rising costs and other financial pressures.

So the county’s official Destination Management Organisation (DMO) is encouraging people to book winter breaks in the county, stay longer and ultimately increase their spend.

As part of the campaign, Cumbria Tourism is highlighting a range of new offers and activities designed to help local residents ‘de-stress’ and take care of their overall health and wellbeing through its MyCumbria local discounts scheme.

MyCumbria’ is a card-based membership scheme exclusively for county residents, offering a range of discounts such as 20% off in shops, pubs and cafes, and 2-for-1 on cinema tickets and county-wide visitor attractions.

The MyCumbira Card is also a great way to spend time with friends and family, with many offers on the scheme being up to four people.

One of the key features of January’s health and wellbeing themed month is the wide range of MyCumbria offers, including unique wellness activities and experiences available throughout the county.

Card holders can receive exclusive discounts including 10% discount when booking Meditate with Horses, Forage & Feast, Woodland Activities or The Happy Ape with Full Circle Experiences.

There are 10% discounts at; Sacred Essence in Coniston, Barrow Spa Therapy Relaxation and Wellbeing, Cascades Spa at The Whitewater Hotel and much more.

There are a range of discounts on offer at some of the county's best restaurants and pubs, enjoy the delicious local produce and culinary traditions.

Cumbria Community Foundation also now receive 10% of total MyCumbria income to support their charitable services across the county.
