READERES have sent messages of support to a Barrow man who bravely bared all as he battles obesity.

54-year-old Charlie Walduck, who now lives in Manchester, once weighed in at more than 50st but underwent an incredible transformation with the help of ITV’s This Morning almost two decades ago, managing to get down to 13-and-a-half stone.

But after the weight crept back on, Charlie made the decision to ‘put himself out there’ by documenting his current weight-loss journey on YouTube.

In a recent video, Charlie chose to ditch his kit and braved going nude.

Explaining why he chose to do this after fourteen weeks of contemplation, he said: “Because I find it incredibly hard and incredibly embarrassing.

“I feel like deleting it right now because it’s embarrassing, I’m ashamed of myself, I’m ashamed of how I let my body get, I feel disgusting, I feel people will look at it and think ‘how disgusting’ – but that is me.”

The Barrow AFC fan said he hoped the move would inspire others to not be embarrassed of their bodies.

Sophie Gibson said: “Don’t be ashamed. You are doing something about it. Be proud.”
