AN APPLICATION that would see four detached properties constructed on land near Grange has been submitted to South Lakeland District Council.
The buildings on land off Holme Lane, Allithwaite, would be two-storey and have integral single garages.
The submission from Robin Lawson replaces a previously approved application for four semi-detached properties.
A planning statement submitted by chartered building consultancy Leeming Associates in support of the application says an access road 'has already been approved and commenced, with the junction to Holme Lane already constructed'.

"The scale of the proposed properties is felt to be in keeping with the locality, with eaves and ridge heights appropriate for the setting," says the statement.
"The provision of detached properties and layout of the site is in keeping with the surroundings and has the additional benefit of maintaining site lines of open countryside between the detached properties.
"The four properties have been designed/sited to maintain generous spacing between the houses to enhance these site lines."
The proposed homes would offer three car parking spaces each – two on the driveway and one in the garage.
