MP JOINS ALCEDO CARE TO MAKE CHARITABLE DONATIONS

Tim Farron, The Liberal Democrat MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale, visited Alcedo Care’s new branch in Kendal to learn more about the award winning home care provider’s plans.

With branches across the North of England, top-rated Alcedo Care delivers an exceptional portfolio of services, including personal care, nurse-led complex care, support and companionship, to those wishing to remain independent in their own homes.

Following the recent opening of its first branch in Cumbria creating more than 80 local jobs, the home care provider is already making plans to expand further across the region targeting locations including Carnforth, Grange-over-Sands, Ulverston, Whitehaven and Barrow.

Tim Farron MP dropped into the new branch to meet the team, learn more about the company’s plans to expand and assist with two special charity donations as Alcedo Care gave £250 to Cumbria Family Support and £250 to Carer Support South Lakes.

They were gratefully received by representatives from both charities including Debi Marsden, chief executive officer at Carer Support South Lakes, and Deb Royston, chief officer at Cumbria Family Support.

Debi Marsden said: “All donations are so gratefully received and the money will be used to provide services that help improve the lives of unpaid carers across Cumbria.”

Deb Royston said: “With the cost of living crisis continuing to affect families across Cumbria, we are committed to helping families navigate these uncertain and often stressful times.  We are incredibly grateful to Alcedo Care for its kind donation, 100 per cent of which goes towards the continued provision of our services.”

Tim Farron MP said: “I’m delighted to be here today to meet the Alcedo Care team and learn more about the vital home care services being offered to residents across South Lakes along with the continued economic and community benefits as the company expands, recruits and contributes to worthy causes in this area.”

Kendal manager, Vickie Leecy, said: “Supporting the local communities around our branches is very important to us and we were delighted to have Tim Farron MP join us for the afternoon and assist with making the donations to these two amazing Cumbrian charities.”
