Police warn drivers about Winter roads
For road safety week, Cumbria Police tweeted a warning to drivers, asking whether they and their cars are ready for winter conditions, such as rain, wind, storms and ice.
Cumbria police advise: “Always make sure you have enough fuel for your journey – so you don’t get stuck out in the cold.
“Cars use more fuel in heavy traffic and start/stop conditions which can be regular occurrences in wintry weather.”
