‘You can’t keep a good northerner down’ – that’s the consensus as Hairy Biker Dave Myers posed for a picture alongside his new book, showing off his thickening moustache and beard.

Brilliant Bakes is the latest book by Hairy Bikers duo Dave Myers and Si King.

Dave had lost his iconic beard earlier this year due to chemotherapy in an ongoing battle against cancer.

However, his hair is beginning to make a return, revealing a thickening beard and moustache in a picture tweeted by the Hairy Bikers. The picture sees Dave holding up a copy of Brilliant Bakes.

The Hairy Bikers tweeted: "Ahhh, would you look at that!

"What a beauty of a book Brilliant Bakes is, some of our finest work I must say!

"Have you got your copy yet? If not, what are you waiting for!?!"
