A local football club across the Barrow and Furness constituency could be in with the chance of winning £300 of new football equipment thanks to local MP Simon Fell and McDonald’s Fun Football programme.
Mr Fell is calling on community football clubs in the area to nominate themselves as his entrant for a raffle run by McDonald’s.
Entrant stands a chance to win one of 20 bundles of training essentials like new training bibs, cones, and balls.
The victory of the Lionesses at UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 has inspired thousands to pick up their boots and step on to the pitch.
MPs from across the country will nominate local teams for the raffle in Westminster on October 26 and the winners will be announced the following week.
If you’d like your local club to be in with the chance complete the form on on Mr Fell's website and explain how your club would put the equipment to good use.
Simon Fell MP said: “Keeping young people active in Barrow and Furness is really important, so it’s great to see a brand like McDonald’s supporting grassroots sport through its Fun Football programme. I’ve got my fingers crossed that one of our community clubs wins one of the fantastic prizes. Many young people from the local area are feeling inspired to get more active, and out on the pitch - so there couldn’t be a better time to make sure our local footballers are properly kitted out."
