The BBC livestream of the hall cut away to a shot of the Victoria Tower for 13 minutes after a man seemed to rush forward towards the coffin and the cataflaque.
In the clip, members of the public reportedly looked on in shock as the man was surrounded by several security guards and police officers, taken to the floor and then removed from the Hall.
The officers then returned to their posts and the queue started moving again.
It is the only incident in the Hall since the Queen began lying in state on Wednesday.
A statement from the Met Police said: "Around 22:00hrs on Friday 16 September officers from the Met's Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command detained a man in Westminster Hall following a disturbance.
"He was arrested for an offence under the Public Order Act and is currently in custody."
