Barrow man sent menacing voice messages to ex-partner

Daniel Green sent vile threats to the mother of his child after they had a row over her choice of godparents. 

He sent a number of abusive voice messages to his partner on Facebook while he waited outside her house. 

He admitted sending offensive or menacing messages to Carly-Anne Anderson when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court. 

In expletive-laden threats, he asked her 'who do you think you are?'

Barrow man ordered to pay £400 for littering cigarette

Mark Pell was told to pay a hefty fine at Preston Magistrates' Court for the offence. 

He dropped the litter on March 31 at the M6 services in Forton, Lancashire.

Former teacher at John Ruskin School in Coniston banned for life

Mark Craster-Chambers was jailed for sex crimes involving a former pupil and has been banned from classrooms in the UK for life. 

He left teaching in 2017, and was jailed at Carlisle Crown Court in April last year for 18 months after being convicted of two offences of engaging in sexual activity while in a position of trust.

Driver collided with motorbike rider on A5902 trying to overtake HGV on hill

'Selfish' Wesley Royle had his children in the car when he tried to overtake a motorbike while rushing back for a work emergency.

He caused serious injury to biker Gemma Walsh, who was left unable to work because of the incident. 

Mr Royle was driving a Nissan Juke on the A5092 near Gawthwaite when he attempted the overtake.
