A BARROW man who littered a cigarette has been told to pay a hefty fine by a court.
Mark Pell was said to have dropped a cigarette butt at the M6 services in Forton, Lancashire.
The 46-year-old, of Mount Pleasant, dropped the litter on March 31.
At Preston Magistrates' Court he was ordered to pay a fine of £220,
He was also told to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £150 in costs.
The defendant was convicted under the Single Justice Procedure and did not appear in court.
The case was brought by Wyre Borough Council.
