A BARROW motorist has been given a hefty fine after driving through a red light 1.7 seconds after it changed.
Paul Croft was said to have been driving on the A580 in Salford when he went through the red light.
It happened on January 11.
According to court records, the 45-year-old failed to obey the red light nearly two seconds after it had changed.
The motorist, of Middleton Avenue in Barrow, was fined £220 by Manchester And Salford Magistrates' Court.
He was also told to pay a £34 victim surcharge, £90 in costs and handed three penalty points.
