READERS have shared their congratulations with a Barrovian athlete who exhibited success at the Commonwealth Games.
In the inaugural 3x3 wheelchair basketball format, Tyler Baines competed as part of a four-man squad to bring home the bronze medal for his country.
Baines played alongside two-time Paralympic bronze medallist and current World and European Champion Lee Manning, as well current Diploma in Sporting Excellence athletes Charlie McIntyre and Abderrahim Taghrest.

He said: “Wheelchair basketball has never been at the Commonwealth Games before, and to medal on our first time is unbelievable – a dream come true.
