THE Rotary Club of Furness has announced it will be hosting this year's Tour de Furness.
The charity cycle event raises money for St Mary's Hospice. The event will happen on Sunday September 4.
Participants can also raise money for the NHS.
Anyone can register online. The route starts and finishes at Roose Conservative Club in Barrow. There is a 50-mile ride, a 23-mile ride, and a five-mile family fun ride.
The Tour de Furness is the Rotary Club's biggest fundraiser and it returned last year after the pandemic.
Last year, more than 130 riders signed up which was more than normal.
According to Geoff James, an organiser of last year's event, the Tour de Furness has raised nearly half a million pounds for local causes over the 25 years that it has run.
