Barrow Island got back on track with a comprehensive win over Crosfields to the tune of 48-16.
Island meant business from the start and were soon ahead when following a scrum Brad Marwood fed Adam Jackson to score out wide and convert 6-0.
It was soon 12-0 when Shane Sanderson crossed from close range, Jackson tagging on the goal.
It was one way traffic as a neat stab through the cover enabled Carl McBain to dot the ball down for Jackson to convert 18-0.
Crosfields were lacking ball in hand going further behind through a fine sweeping attack involving Brad Marwood, Nathan Sneesby and Aide Wright who turned the ball back inside for Marwood to score, Jackson added the conversion plus a penalty goal 26-0 at the break.
Crosfields had it all to do and hit back tries from Jack Fox and Ben Stevens plus a Jack Lewis goal 26-10.
However, the re-introduction of Carl McBain and Sanderson saw the duo combine for Josh McBain to score 30-10. Blain Marwood then sent Jackson over the line the latter converting 36-10.
Further tries from Jackson and Dan Wright converted by Jackson sealed victory with a converted try for the visitors.
Millom went down 18-10 at home to Shaw Cross tries coming from Jarty Robinson and Nial Harris with one goal from Jack Newbiggin.
Ulverston were second best against Hindley losing 26-18, tries via Josh Cattlett, Marc Storey, and Jack Stephenson with three goals from Connor Saunders.
Dalton claimed victory over Leigh Miners “A” 32-30 with a last minute try from Sam Purslow who crossed in the corner. Others came from Harri Brown 2, Pat Kelly, Todd Steel Joe Crarey, Ben Atkinson, and Sam Purslow with Zac Steel adding two goals and Joe Crarey one.
In the Barrow league Dalton “A” were also successful defeating Ulverston 22-18 while Barrow Island defeated Millom 62-4.
