AN investigation has been launched after a video was posted to a social media platform purportedly showing a Barrow refuse worker relieving himself in a front garden.
The video, which shows a man walking over a patch of grass before looking over his shoulder, approaching a corner fence and appearing to urinate, is being investigated by bosses at the company which runs Barrow's bin services.
Footage from a doorbell camera was posted to Twitter by a user who tagged both Barrow Council and FCC Environment with the caption: "I didn't realise the refuse collection service came with a garden watering service too. Bonus."
A spokesperson for FCC Environment, which runs the services, said: "FCC Environment has been made aware of footage that has been posted to Twitter by a local resident.
"We can confirm that we are currently investigating these incidents and will take appropriate measures. In the meantime we would like to sincerely apologise for any distress caused."
