A BARROW-born songwriter is on cloud nine after he performed on the main stage at London Pride.
Muisican Jack Hawitt performed a 20 minute set with his full band to thousands of people on the main stage at the world famous event.
Jack shared the stage with fellow musicians Emilie Sande and headlining act Ava Max to share the love and support to the LGBTQ+ community.
Jack said it was an amazing experience.
“It was so good," he said. "I had my full band with me and we had rehearsals in the week to perfect the whole 20 minute show where I got to perform six of my songs.
“There was a massive crowd. Wveryone was so supportive and the vibe was amazing
"It was all about the crowd being themselves and the atmosphere was just something else.
“I played my latest single MYK for the first time at pride and it was so nice to hear everyone singing along and clapping and just seeing them having fun.
“I actually wrote a song for Ava Max who was headlining but it was a shame she didn’t play it but it was still a crazy experience to share the same stage.”
Jack will be performing at the Coast Road festival this Saturday and is excited to be back in the area he grew up.
Jack said: “It will be great to be back in the area seeing some old friends. I’m really looking forward to it.
“The weather is meant to be nice still so that will be great to get out there again especially after this weekend.”
The Coast Roads Festival will be taking place at Aldingham Fields over the weekend of 9 and 10 July, with legendary Liverpool indie band The Coral headlining as part of their first tour in three years.
