THE mum of Love Island star Jacques O'Neill has thanked people for their support after asking the public to stop sending 'nasty' messages about her son.
Janet Wright issued a statement on her Instagram page that the 'nasty' messages that she has received have 'hurt'.
Her comments came after Remi, who was booted from the villa, claimed Jacques, from Barrow, was a "bully" and made comments about his Manchester roots.
On Instagram, Janet said: "People sending nasty messages to me can you stop it does hurt, thank you."
Her followers quickly offered her support telling Janet to 'ignore the trolls' adding: "You're clearly an amazing mum ad we see that in your kind son. I love him I think he's a funny caring guy with a great personality."
Jacques' mum took to Instagram again to thank her son's supporters for their support.
She said: "Would like to thank people for all the messages supporting Jacques and myself. Sorry I can't answer everyone."
