Barrow Raiders are preparing for their upcoming game against Dewsbury Rams in the Betfred Championship.
Held at Tetley’s Stadium at 3pm on May 22, Paul Crarey’s squad are set to return to action on the field in their latest fixture.
They will return to Yorkshire on Sunday in Round 12 of the Championship.
The Raiders brought back a win against Workington Town in last weekend’s Cumbrian derby match, and morale is high for their upcoming challenge.
Paul Crarey’s side lie sixth in the league table with 13 points amassed so far, but a second successive win could see them climb as high as fourth by the close of play on Sunday.
Paul has high hopes for the match and anticipates a tough match.
He said: “This is a target game for us and them. It’s the start of the season and we’ve had a great start.
“Teams below us are fighting for their lives right now and the Rams are one of them.
“We had got to be ready for this, we might have to slug it out through the middle. I don’t think it will be a high scoring game but it will be a good one.
“They have a lot of experienced players. Paul Sykes has been around for a long time and he’s brought in a lot of good players who were outstanding in their previous games.
“They’ll cause us threats all over and we’ve got to be ready for that.
“The things we have to work on are the individual errors, as they have killed us over the last few weeks. Dropping the ball, knock-ons, small little things that add up.
“As a coach its difficult o handle those things but we still aim to."
