Dave Myers, one half of the Hairy Bikers duo, has made his debut as the ‘Baldy Biker’.
The 64-year-old recently announced he had been diagnosed with cancer.
The Barrovian appeared in episode 12 of the Hairy Bikers – Agony Uncles podcast where he unveiled his ‘fresh’ new look.
Remaining in good spirits, Dave said: “Thank you to everyone who has sent in a good will message for me, and I do appreciate the good thoughts. I’ll get there.
“As you can see I’ve embraced the baldness.
“I looked at my wife and she said you look like Stanley Tucci who’s been sleeping behind the library for a month.
“As a great fan of Stanley Tucci I’ve embraced that. I quite like it really.
“I’ve got the beard. It’s nice, it’s fresh for the summer.”
Other half of the Hairy Biker duo, Si King, joked that Dave always had a ‘chestnut barnet’.
He said: “When we first met that was your look, and you always had a chestnut barnet. Your head was always tanned.”
Dave responded: “It will when I get out there. It's a bit fresh.
“It's quite nice getting in the shower just washing it. It started falling out so I said ‘Mrs Myers, get those clippers out'.
Long time friend Si gave an update on Dave while hosting Wednesday’s cooking segment of the ITV show This Morning.
Si was demonstrating to hosts Philip Schofield and Rochelle Humes how to make a chicken and spinach curry when Phil asked if Dave was okay.
He said: “He remains really positive, he’s really focused on the treatment he’s receiving.
“We’re all rallying around him. You know what he’s like, he’s as tough as an old boot. He’ll get there.”
On a previous episode of the Hairy Bikers – Agony Uncles podcast, Dave requested privacy whilst he undergoes treatment.
He said: "I have had to speak up about this because I don't want to hide under a rock but I would love it if people respected my privacy and just let me get on with it and give Si and our team all the support they need, that would be great. But look, the prognosis is OK, I'm going to be fine."
