NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 14 of South Lakeland’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Restaurants, cafes and canteens
The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: The Chill and Grill at Cafe, Coast Road, Bardsea; rated on May 4
• Rated 5: Los Lagos at The Square, Hawkshead; rated on May 3
• Rated 5: Mumbai at 8 Stramongate, Kendal; rated on April 29
• Rated 5: Avanti at 57 Main Street, Kirkby Lonsdale; rated on April 27
• Rated 5: Cafe Ambio at Junction 36 Rural Auction Centre, Crooklands; rated on April 27
• Rated 5: Lakeside Hotel at Newby Bridge, Ulverston; rated on April 25
• Rated 5: Royal Oak at The Square, Cartmel; rated on April 8
Pubs, bars and nightclubs
And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
• Rated 5: The Albert Hotel at Rayrigg Road, Windermere; rated on April 25
• Rated 5: Royal Oak at Royal Oak Inn, Market Place, Ambleside; rated on April 22
