PREPARATIONS are well underway for the return of Furness Pride this weekend.
A rainbow arch has been put up in Barrow's Market Hall to signal the return of Furness Pride this Saturday.
A spokesman for the market hall said it was 'proud' to support this year's event which is run by Drop Zone Youth Crew in Barrow town centre.
For the past two years the event has been held online due to Covid and will be making a return to the streets with the theme of community.

Cath Corkill, of Drop Zone Youth Projects, said: "At 12pm we are going to start with a parade up Duke Street then down Dalton Road and then through Portland Walk and the market.
"We will occupy the pedestrianised section between the Town Hall and the Forum Theatre. There will be performers and lots of events happening between ourselves too."
Cath said preparations for the event are going well and they are currently looking for local bands and singers who would like to get involved.
The Pride event will finish at 6pm and then the Odd Frog will be hosting an after-party.
Each year the pride event has a theme. Last year's theme was family and this year the theme of the event will be community.
