Thousands of runners, walkers, and spectators turned out to raise money for their chosen charities as the annual Keswick to Barrow charity trail took place.

Now in its 55th year, having been cancelled, and the 2021 event rescheduled to September, organisers were delighted to have been able to host the famous day in May once again.

Barrow's Hawcoat Park was the site for the finish line, with weary runners and spectators enjoying the sunshine in a carnival atmosphere.

Various prizes were up for grabs, with the fastest male and female runners winning trophies, as well as the under-17 winners, and team awards.

One of the organisers, Roy Barnes, said: "The weather's brought out loads of spectators too, and it's brought out the best in them - everybody's supporting each other."
